Orientation Day 2017

On 1st March, 2017 another „Orientation Day” took place at the Kielce University of Technology. It was an informing meeting for the incoming Erasmus+ foreign students. At the beginning Mr. Professor Tomasz Kozłowski, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and the Staff Development, welcomed the students warmly and expressed hopes they would enjoy their stay at the KUT.

The foreign students had a chance to get some essential information about the University as well as about Poland and Kielce thanks to a presentation prepared by Ms Ewa Włodarczyk, University Erasmus+ Coordinator. While watching the photos taken during the social events organized for Erasmus+ students last semester, quite a few of the incoming students recognized their friends and colleagues. They admitted they had chosen the Kielce University of Technology because of the positive opinions expressed by their friends who were studying at our University.

After the presentation, all the participants, the students, mentors, Erasmus+ coordinators and the staff of International cooperation department, were photographed traditionally in front of the fountain in the Main Hall. Then the students visited the Main Library and the Sports Centre.

During the summer semester 2016/2017 almost 20 Erasmus+ students are studying and a few are also doing their internship at the Kielce University of Technology. Many of the Polish students who already finished their studies at foreign partner Universities willingly have decided to act  as mentors for the incoming students. They all admit unquestionably that going abroad for studies gave them opportunity to make friends in different countries and improve foreign languages competence.
