Professions of tomorrow

23 fields of education and over 60 specialties at five faculties. Studies are conducted in a full-time and part-time system. Full-time studies at the first cycle in English are also possible. The diversified educational offer reflects the labour market demand and the challenges of the future. Our aim is to create specialists in key areas for modern society, namely renewable resources, electrical vehicles, data base, automation, virtual reality, and biomedical engineering. That’s why our courses are matched to present worldwide needs.

Student-oriented university

The student and his needs are priority for all the academic staff. Improvement of the of education quality together with continuous mastering of the academic staff qualification and skills are the major goals of university’s activity. Kielce University of Technology have been awarded the title of the most pro-doctoral university in Poland by the National Representation of Doctoral Students. The University was appreciated for providing the best study conditions for doctoral students and promoting good practices while supporting the young scientists in their development. All the University staff tries to do their best to be of a great assistance to the students. Their satisfaction is our priority.

Convenient location

The campus consists of five faculty buildings and a well-equipped library, all located in the centre of the town. Designed with the students’ needs in mind, it is equipped to provide state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. Six dormitories offering cosy and comfortable rooms for students, located just 3 minutes’ walk from the University.
Sports facilities and clubs: All activities for students, staff and the community are organized by our Sports Centre and the Kielce University of Technology Club, part of the Polish University Sports Association. Moreover Kielce city is located in a 150-180 km distance from main Polish cities, Cracow and Warsaw, the most popular students tourist and cultural destinations.

History and tradition

It is Kielce, the town itself where the oldest technical university in Poland was established.
The Kielce University of Technology, officially operating under the name since 1974, continues the tradition of the Academic and Mining School founded by Staszic in 1816. The University of Staszic responded to the need of quickly developing mining and metallurgical industry in the Old Polish Industrial District.

Bright future on labour market

As the only technical university in the region, the Kielce University of Technology is becoming a key driver and scientific base for the development of modern industry in the voivodeship.
Innovative solutions are made possible through the governmental and EU grants awarded to KUT. The University cooperates with, among others, the Technology Transfer Centre and the Kielce Technology Park, which are responsible for the implementation of developed innovations in industry.
Currently, the Kielce University of Technology holds 197 industrial property rights, including 123 patents for innovations. A further 104 applications are under review by the Polish Patent Office. All the exclusive rights in the University’s portfolio enable technology transfers to commercial entities, generally through licensing agreements.

Web of innovation

The Kielce University of Technology is proud to run and make use more than 135 laboratories, very modern and well equipped ones, including five accredited in the field of road materials, vehicle electrical engineering, lighting technology, computer measurements of geometric quantities as well as scanning microscopy and X-ray microanalysis. Students enjoy the opportunity to participate in classes conducted in 3D Printing Laboratory, Laboratory of Virtual Reality , Smart Production Management Systems Laboratory and many others which let them get practical skills in this fields. Kielce University of Technology as the Ambassador of Innovation – the university gained this distinction for creating and implementing innovations as well as for model ties establishing between science and business environment. The jury of the competition highly appreciated the implementation of the latest EU project-CENWIS (setting up the Scientific and Implementation Centre for Smart Specializations of the Świętokrzyskie Region) and extensive scientific and research activities carried out by the employees of the of the Research Centre Laser Processing with full up-to-date facilities, established with the Polish Academy of Science.

Window to the world

The Kielce University of Technology collaborates with numerous universities and scientific centres across Europe and worldwide through exchange programmes such as Erasmus+, CEEPUS and under the framework of bilateral agreements.
Bilateral agreements focus on joint research projects, co-publications of research findings, the exchange of academic staff and students, including doctoral candidates, collaboration on upgrading teachers’ qualifications towards obtaining scientific degrees, or organization of conferences and symposiums.

We are proud to host over 400 international students from more than 30 countries, including exchange and regular students. Through exchange programmes and bilateral agreements, we welcome students from Brazil, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey.
We are delighted to report that KUT is becoming increasingly popular among young people, not only for exchange programmes but also for regular degrees courses. The majority of our international
students come from African and Asian countries, such as Algeria, Chad, Ethiopia, Egypt, India, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia and many others.

Kielce affordable for students

Kielce – our town has a huge advantage over Warsaw, Cracow or Wroclaw. Namely, the cost of living here is much lower than in the big cities. It is much easier to rent an apartment at a reasonable price. What’s more Kielce gives opportunities to find part-time jobs suitable to students and after work, in your free time you can use all available facilities such as swimming pools, tracking paths, bike trials, pubs, restaurants and so on. Besides, our University provides accommodation at the dorms if you wish to stay close to the Uni and together with other students. Compact campus saves you time and money for commuting. Shopping malls and cheap groceries are situated within few minutes walking distance from the dorms.

Not only studying

We believe that a student’s life is not just about hard work, that’s why every year we do our best to keep our students entertained, culturally engaged, and in good spirits. Each year, the University’s schedule includes must-attend events such as:
Welcome meetings: At the beginning of each semester, to aquatint the new international students with rules at KUT, in Kielce, and in Poland. Seasonal meetings: to showcase Polish customs and traditional celebration of holidays International Days: to bring all KUT students together and to promote cultural diversity

Financial support

Students of Kielce University of Technology are entitled to a range of scholarships. International students who are successful in art, sport or have achieved an excellent academic performance can apply for special Rector’s scholarship. Detailed rules are set by the Rector in consultation with student government. The scholarship is granted for a semester and paid every month. The money lets students cover basic charges of living as a dormitory rent or study fees.

Life balance thanks to nature

Kielce is undoubtedly a city full of greenery. A large area of the city is protected as the Chęcińsko-Kielecki Landscape Park. Świętokrzyskie Geopark, or Kielce Geonatura, together with surrounding municipalities received the UNESCO World Geopark certificate on 22 April 2021. In the Świętokrzyskie Geopark, there are, among others, unique inanimate nature reserves like: Jaskinia Raj – Paradise Cave, Kadzielnia, , Wietrznia or Miedzianka – Nature Reserves. There are many attractions for sightseeing and tracking in all Świętokrzyskie region. Name of the area was taken after the Holly Cross Mountain with twentieth-century Benedictine abbey situated on the top of Łysa. Montain. It is also worth seeing many other attractive places to discover the geological heritage associated with historical and cultural values, including mining traditions – numerous remains of historical mining of ores and rocks. Many cycling routes and tracking paths in Kielce and the surrounding area are undoubtedly an attraction for people who like spending their time in an active way.
