Scholarships granted by NAWA

  • aim of the program: to conduct educational and cultural exchanges between Poland and the United States, to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and Poland through the sharing of ideas, knowledge, skills, and individual experiences by means of educational and cultural exchange.
  • beneficiary: Through its various exchange programs, the Commission supports studies, research, instruction, and other educational activities of American and Polish educators, scholars, and institutions; it also administers visits and exchanges between the United States and Poland of students, trainees, scholars, teachers, instructors, and professors.
  • aim of the program: to promote Poland as a country of attractive educational opportunities, strengthens level of qualifications in the Polish communities abroad and is an opportunity to learn about culture and history of Poland.
  • beneficiary: young people of Polish origin.

Rector's scholarship

The Rector’s scholarship is a benefit that awards the best students of a given field of study.

First year students, entitled to apply for the Rector’s scholarship:

  • winner of the international olympics or a laureate of the central level olympiad referred to in the regulations on the education system or
  • finalist of the central level olympiad, referred to in the regulations on the education system or
  • are medalists at least in sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, referred to in the regulations on sport.

Students of at least second year of studies can be granted with the scholarships on the basis of outstanding academic performance:

  • grades average – counted of the last two semesters before applying
  • scientific achievements
  • sports achievements on national scale
  • artistic achievement

The number of students receiving the scholarship is limited and it cannot exceed 10% of students of a given field.

Application for the Rector’s scholarship shall be submitted for each semester in the relevant Students Office.

Deadline for application:

  • winter semester: October 20
  • summer semester: March 20

The amount of granted scholarship depends on the ranking list and the achievements of Applicant

1) Cat. I – 1500 zł;
2) Cat. II – 1200 zł;
3) Cat. III – 900 zł.
