New International Cooperation

The Targi Kielce International Defence Industry Exhibition has been attracting exhibitors and visitors from all over the world for many years. The MSPO trade show provides defense companies with a prime opportunity to showcase their latest products, services, and establish valuable strategic partnerships.

As a result of attending the event, the Kielce University of Technology, Hanwha Aerospace and Changwon National University have signed a strategic partnership agreement and will cooperate in the area of security, defense, and aviation, as well as space technologies. This is another step in connecting the science and industry.

The agreement is the basis for further development of our fields of study, creation of new specializations and increasing the competencies of the scientific staff, mentioned Prof. Paweł Kossakowski, Vice-Rector of the Kielce University of Technology.

The joint initiative aims to strengthen competencies and develop innovative solutions in the fields of security and defense. It also facilitates international student exchanges and the recruitment of lecturers with significant scientific achievements.

Billy Boo Hwan Lee, president of Hanwha Aerospace, is also enthusiastic about cooperation with new partners.

Hanwha Aerospace, being one of the largest suppliers of military equipment for the Polish Armed Forces, we consider this agreement as an opportunity to develop and exchange knowledge and best practices. Without solid relations, it is impossible to implement joint research and innovation projects.

For Hanwha Aerospace, cooperation with research centers is the foundation for the development of future breakthrough technologies.

Nowadays, Poland is one of the most important markets for Hanwha Aerospace Europe. Recently, a company from the Republic of Korea opened an office in Warsaw.

Hanwha Aerospace supplies the Polish Army with Thunder self-propelled howitzers, as well as weapons modules and ammunition for the Homar-K missile launchers.  Now the Korean company wants to tighten cooperation with the Polish army and defense industry.

The company’s plans concern the Polish Air Force and Navy.
