On March 19, 2024, the group of Erasmus+ and regular students of KUT have been invited by the authorities of the Targi Kielce exhibition&congress centre to an outstanding event called Industrial Spring.
It is the biggest industrial fair in Poland and one of Europe’s industry-leading exhibitions, and our city is the host. So far, there have been 600 exhibitors from 21 countries and also this year numerous companies and exhibitors came to Kielce from almost all over the world.
Thanks to the invitation and a guide through the exhibition done by Targi Kielce’s employee, our students had an unusual opportunity to see a sample of industry leaders’ workshops on their own.
Visiting that kind of event is a chance for our students to see in practice, apart from the University’s labs, what are the newest technologies implemented in market-leading companies, how their future jobs can look like, find out what type of work would interest them the most. Moreover, it also gives an amazing opportunity to talk to the companies’ employees and get helpful tips, to gain new contacts and even job prospects for their future.
A feedback received from our student, participant of the event:
As a mechanical engineering student, being able to participate in such a prestigious event was an invaluable experience for me. The chance to visit one of the biggest Fair Centers in Europe and engage with companies specializing in STOM-TOOL, BLECH & CUTTING, LASER technology, ROBOTICS, FIX, Welding, Expo-Surface, Fluid Power, Control-Stom, and 3D Printing was truly enlightening.
The event not only broadened my understanding of the latest advancements in various industries but also provided me with practical insights into the applications of theoretical knowledge gained through my academic pursuits. Meeting representatives from these companies allowed me to network, exchange ideas, and gain a deeper appreciation for the real-world challenges and innovations shaping the industrial landscape.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the International Office for facilitating such an enriching opportunity for students like myself. The exposure and experiences gained during the Industrial Spring event will undoubtedly contribute to my academic and professional development in the field of mechanical engineering.
Once again, thank you for your continuous support and commitment to providing us with avenues for growth and learning beyond the classroom.
The International Office would like to warmly thank the Targi Kielce employees, for the invitation, professional guide, and support during the event. We also hope to continue the cooperation with the Targi Kielce, so we can offer our students more and more opportunities in the future.
