National Student-Inventor Competition 2024

On April 17-21, 2024, during the 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, the 14th annual National Student-Inventor Competition winners presented their hard work and achievements.

The best participants were recognized for their exemplary work by the International jury, who awarded them with 5 meals and 5 special prizes.

Gold medal winner:

  • Piotr Pańtak, AGH University of Krakow

Method of obtaining bone substitute biomaterial in the form of hybrid granules andMethod of obtaining hybrid granules based on hydroxyapatite

In cooperation with PhD Aneta Zima, prof Joanna Czechowska
the team was honored with a special prize from The First Institute of Researchers and Inventors in I.R. Iran.

Silver medal winner:

  • Marcin Jakubiec, Jagiellonian University in Kraków

Modified amino acid derivatives for the treatment of neurological diseases and selected psychiatric disorders

In cooperation with prof. Krzysztof Kamiński, PhD. Michał Abram, prof. Anna Rapacz, PhD. Szczepan Mogilski, prof. Gniewomir Latacz, prof. Marta Struga
the team was honored with a special prize from „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu in Romania

Brown medal winners:

  • Karina Niziołek Cracow University of Technology

Method of obtaining a hybrid carrier of active substances belonging to the group of anticancer drugs and a hybrid carrier of active substances belonging to the group of anticancer drugs.

In cooperation with PhD Dagmara Słota, prof. Agnieszka Sobczak-Kupiec, Ph.D. Bożena Tyliszczak,  PhD. Agnieszka Tomala
the team was honored with a special prize Thailand Award for the Best International Invention & Innovation awarded by the National Research Council of Thailand.

  • Seyed Amirhossein Hashemi Bosari, Kielce University of Technology

Hybrid propulsion system for an unmanned aerial vehicle with high payload in cooperation with Łukasz Nowakowski, PhDthe team was honored with a special prize from „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu in Romania

  • Piotr Falkowski, Warsaw University of Technology

Rehabilitation exoskeleton

In cooperation with Bazyli Leczkowski, Julia Wilk, Wojciech Kiński, PhD Zbigniew Pilat

the team was honored with a special prize from „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu in Romania

 

The winners of the inventions exhibition had the opportunity to meet the special guests: Patrycja Czubkowska, the Deputy President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, and Zbigniew Czech, the Extraordinary and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations Office at Geneva. Both guests congratulated the winners and wished them continued success in the future.
